Warm Hat and Balaclava

A thermal hat will help retain heat, and a balaclava will minimize exposed skin in frigid temperatures.

Doubled Long Sleeve tech shirt

Wear at least two layers under your jacket when it's truly cold out. Technical fabrics are best, with good wicking action to keep you cool and comfortable.

Running Jacket

A weatherproof shell to protect you from the wind and keep your core temperature up. Look for fabrics with wind- and water-resistance, but also breathability.

Winter gloves

Thermally insulated gloves or mittens will keep your fingers warm and safe from frostbite.

Tights or windpants

Colder temperature and higher winds mean covering up your legs with light, windresistant but breathable running pants.

Warm socks

Warm socks or doubled socks to keep your feet warm. Just make sure not to constrict the circulation in your feet, which will make them feel colder.

Identification

    ID and cellphone

Common Sense

Weather conditions can change quickly, pay attention to what's around you, and do the right thing. You are responsible for your own comfort and safety. Have a great run!
